Prime Minister Stefan Löfven today received a telephone call from Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. The call mainly focused on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. Mr Löfven highlighted the messages recently conveyed by the EU on developments. Among the points he emphasised were the need for de-escalation and bilateral dialogue between India and Pakistan to reach a political solution, and the importance of including the people of Jammu and Kashmir in discussions and decisions about their future. Finally, Mr Löfven brought up the importance of combating terrorism.”
