Attestation

  • General or Special Power of Attorney/Affidavit/Undertaking

  1. These documents for Pakistani nationals have to be signed by the Executant in the presence of an authorized officer of the Embassy (all pages have to be signed and thumb impression affixed).
  2. All aliens (Swedish/Finnish/other Passport holders) are required to sign these documents before the Notary Public who will put his/her signs/seals. Before bringing these papers to Embassy for attestation, the Swedish/Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs have to attest/legalise the documents.
  3. These documents should also be signed by two witnesses, who are not relatives and are resident in Sweden/Finland and known to the person signing the attorney/affidavit. Full names, NIC Number, complete addresses and telephone numbers of both the witnesses should be clearly indicated under their signatures and copies of their CNICs/NICOP/POC are also provided.
  4. The photographs of the Executant and the witnesses are mandatory.
  5. Original Passports, Identity Cards and Residence Card of the applicants (along with their photocopies) should be provided.
  6. Fee:    SEK 110/-  for Pakistani nationals
  7. Fee: SEK 200/- for attestation of seal of Swedish/Finnish Foreign Office

NB: THE DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION OF THE POWER OF ATTORNEY  BY THE CONCERNED ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER/ADDITIONAL COLLECTOR/SUB REGISTER MEANT FOR ATTORYNEY/NOMINEE IN PAKISTAN IS OF FOUR MONTHS.

  • Commercial Documents
  1. The documents presented to the Embassy for attestation should be duly attested beforehand by the Swedish/ Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  2. An authority letter by the Company for the individual/courier company bringing the documents to the Embassy
  3. Fee: SEK 510/-
  • ‘Nikah nama’ (Marriage Certificate)
  1. Original Nikah Nama (Marriage Certificate) duly attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan.
  2. Original Pakistani Passport/NICOP/CNIC/Residence Card along with photocopies
  3. Fee: SEK 110/- 
  • Un-married Certificate
  1. Original Unmarried certificate issued by the respective Union Council or an Affidavit given by the parents duly attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan.
  2. Original Pakistani Passport/NICOP/CNIC/Residence Card along with photocopies
  1. Fee: SEK 110/- 

NB: FOR  DIVORCE DEEDS PLEASE APPROACH THE CONCERNED UNION COUNCIL WHERE THE MARRIAGE WAS REGISTERED AND FOLLOW THE RELEVANT RULES.

  • Educational documents
  1. All educational, official and public documents originating from Sweden or Finland  first need to be attested from the respective Foreign Offices of these countries. Fee: SEK 110/- 
  2. All educational, official and public documents originating from Pakistan first need to be attested from IBCC/HEC and Foreign Offices of Pakistan. Fee: SEK 110/- 
  • Papers for transfer of dead bodies to Pakistan
  1. The Embassy can attest the following documents in respect of a deceased Pakistani national living in Sweden or Finland. Provided documents must be attested by the respective Foreign Ministries of Sweden/Finland.
  • Death Certificate from the Hospital
  • Clearance Certificate from the concerned Municipality/Commune
  1. While forwarding the above papers to the Embassy, the Pakistani Passport/NICOP/CNIC of the deceased should also be enclosed. Fee: Free of Charge

Consular Fees are not accepted in cash at the Consular desk of the Embassy.

  • Consular Fees can be deposited in Embassy’s SEB Account no 5277 10 109 68 Facility for making payment by Credit/Debit Card is available at the Embassy. Embassy’s IBAN no is: SE80 5000 0000 0527 7101 0968. Swift Address of SEB is: ESSESESS
  • Full name of the applicant must be written clearly on the Bank slips.
  • The deposit slip must be attached to the application form before submission, otherwise the case would be kept pending.
  • Cash is also not accepted through post. Envelopes containing cash are returned without consideration.
  • Applicants from outside Sweden while making payment of the consular fee through  a bank, MUST ADD  SEK 60 TO THE TOTAL FEE ON ACCOUNT OF BANK TRANSFER CHARGES, which is ultimately paid by the Embassy to the concerned Bank. Such cases, where the Bank Transfer Charges are not paid separately by the applicant to the Embassy, would be kept pending.

  • Applications sent through post should contain a self-addressed return envelope, (Must contain SEK 84/- postage stamps or postage coupons), duly paid for registered mail.
